Ludo has decided to lead the Bare Bum Gang on a raid through the Valley of Doom, deep into enemy territory. As they are approaching their target, the BBG are ambushed by the Dockery gang. It looks like they are about to be annihilated - or at least pelted with mud really hard - when they are rescued by a strange boy called Alfie. When they get back to their den, the gang finds that their sweet stash of candy has been plundered! When the wrappers turn up in Ludo's binocular case, he has to fight to keep his position as leader of the gang and decide what to do with Alfie.
