2007 sees the fourth in the crime series featuring Riley Gavin, intrepid young female reporter, and her sometimes reluctant sidekick and former military policeman, Frank Palmer. Having investigated the re-emergence of a London-based crime gang ('No Peace for the Wicked'), a bogus church charity preying on young runaways ('No Help for the Dying', and the shock sighting of a former spy, long thought to have died following the fall of the Berlin wall ('No Sleep for the Dead'), Riley and Palmer find themselves embroiled in a blackmail campaign surrounding a former British diplomat tainted by Colombian drugs and the disappearance of his teenage son.
