After testing an experimental formula on himself, biochemist Hank Pym found himself reduced to the size of an insect and attacked by an army of ants. Inspired by his experience, Hank devised a cybernetic helmet that would allow him to communicate with ants via psionic waves, and embarked on a crimefighting career with an army at his command. This black and white volume collects the early adventures of Ant-Man, conceived the comics' legends of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.
