A minor work by Rosalind Laker, The Fragile Hour, begins in the 1960s when a British WWII fighter jet is discovered at the bottom of a lake in Norway. During the war, the life of Anna Marlow, a British secret agent in the Norwegian Resistance, was changed by the pilot who landed on the frozen lake, and now, two decades later, Anna is compelled to return to Norway to witness the raising of the plane.
