A favorite client has been swindled out of $1.6 million, just as Jake learns of the death of a friend--a friend who had switched careers from law to drug smuggling. The trail of clues to both crimes leads Jake to Hawaii and a seriously deranged windsurfer whose beautiful companion could prove to be a fatal distraction for Jake.
