Ned Halloran lost his parents to the sinking of the Titanic. He returns home to Ireland and enrolls at Saint Enda's school. The headmaster soon gains fame as a rebel and a patriot, and Ned becomes involved. This is the story of those who, for a few days in 1916, held out against the British Empire.
