Caris has had the gift of sight since birth, but this time she had been wrong. The vision had not changed. The tug on her heart hadn't changed. It had been Eric that was different. The man she had felt love and warmth from in the vision and nothing but coldness in real life was now in a coma, and she was the reason he was there.
Having no reason to stay by Eric's side, Caris devises a plan to find and kill the man who imprisoned her people and now threatens her race.
Eric made a mistake. He hadn't trusted Caris, instead he had hurt her. When he wakes to find she has put herself in grave danger, he knows he must save her. The little seer was meant to be his. Now, he just has to convince her that she was right all along before she gets herself killed.
