War looms on the horizon as the Jinns, Curseworks, and Wishworks prepare for battle. In Jinn territory, Abdul Cadabra has been resurrected and his Lamp of One Thousand Nightmares grows stronger each day. At Curseworks, Penelope and Preztoe, the half-Jinn, are desperately planning an escape from the deepest dungeons. At Wishworks, after successfully finding three of the famed Wishworks weapons, Ben and his friends are on a treacherous journey to retrieve the fourth and final weapon from deep within Jinn territory. Knowing they cannot be caught, Candlewick enlists the help of an elite force known as the Thaumaturgic Cartographers.
