Tough weeks are like trail mix--full of a lot of stuff that ain't too pleasant. First the cussin' Jackson brothers whack Slocum on the melon and steal his .44. Then some of the cattle he's driving up and get stolen. The only good thing that's happened to him this week is meeting Yellow Doe. She's both something to behold and be held--good with a lasso and warm as a fresh buffalo skin. She might just make this particular stretch of employment worth living through. If Slocum can survive it, that is.
