The humans called him..Hero. Indiw was an alien fighter pilot, picked up by human allies after being separated from his space carrier. He didn't really understand the ways of humans, but that was no reason to stop flying missions against the Hyos. The humans put him with the Pit Bull Squadron and sent them out to fight a swarm of Hyos. It was a tough way to break in with a new outfit. Especially when Commander Walter Falstaff's fighter was crippled in battle. Against orders, Indiw stayed to help the human and escort him home through hostile territory. The humans called Indiw a hero and gave him a medal. They didn't know they were branding him a monster in his own people's eyes.
