The protagonist is a member of Parliament with ambitions for the Ministerial office. He has children with suitable names as Damien and Rupert, a devoted wife; the ear of t he Prime Minister's closest advisers and then-what can I say? He meets an American woman-mysterious and beautiful and it's all downhill from there.
