The Floods are a well-to-do family, living in 1940s Dublin. Father, Roddy and mother, Cora, and their five children seem to have the perfect life, but it soon emerges they are not quite as flawless as they appear. When daughter Decla is wooed by a stranger, the family's problems come to a head.
