Jake has seen a lot of strange things since meeting Bekla, the giant spider, three months ago. But now bizarre "hiccups" in time are bouncing him back and forth, between the past and the present.

One minute Jake's dodging the fist of a bully at school, the next he's wandering in an ancient forest while something gigantic and scary buzzes over the treetops.
