A few days before Christmas, in the severest winter storm in Britain's history, six people converge on London's Waterloo Station bound for different destinations. Strangers to each other, they find themselves traveling in the same carriage. The mounting snowdrifts steadily engulf the train, which slows and then stops between two rural stations. These six strangers, trapped in a killing frost, can no longer remain unknown to each other.
