Elizabeth Seaton had always loved Dan Woodham, and when she grew, it seemed inevitable that they would undertake. So she received a tremendous blow when by chance she learned that Dan was in love with Karen, her best friend. There was nothing she could do except accept the situation with dignity. So she broke the engagement. But unfortunately this does not mean in any way that everything would end there.
