When a ghostly plea from the past draws Susannah Hall back into the sultry Savannah of 1884, she is faced with the problem of solving an 111-year-old mystery as she deals with her growing feelings for her hostile time-travel partner, Kane Wilder. Light, lively, and sexy, this story features upfront, resourceful protagonists and a couple of well-done secondary characters, including a memorable pint-sized pickpocket. The visit to the past is allowed to change the present, and Linz (Baby Wanted, Harlequin, 1995) ties up most loose ends, leaving the reader smiling. Although definitely a Desire (short, sexy, and modern), it also contains paranormal, time travel, mystery, and historical elements.
