Sabiha Al Khemir was born in Tunisia and obtained her M.A. and Ph.D in Islamic Art history and Archaeology from London University. She was post Doctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, US and has lectured world wide on Islamic art and Islamic culture. She has taught Islamic art in the British Museum, London and has worked as a consultant and museum director. She is also a writer.
