About Rakie Keig
Rakie was born in England in 1979, but quickly found herself shunted over to the sunny Isle of Man, where she has lived for a large percentage of her life (but is still not considered to be Manx). Her first published novel is due out through Hadesgate Publications in November 2007, and she has also had a solitary short story published, in Tiny Terrors Volume 1. Articles by her have also appeared in The Chronicles and Movie Geeks Monthly Magazine. When not pretending to be a writer, she works full time in the Department of Pathology at the local hospital, where she is constantly thwarted in her attempts to steal body bags and medical supplies.

She is also a zero-budget film maker who has written and directed a bunch of short films, as well as the feature-length Horrorcide, which is due for release later this year, and has worked as a sound recordist on several short projects. She thinks she can draw, and hosts an infrequently updated webcomic. Her interests include trashy horror books, Italian cannibal movies, anything with zombies in, comic books, oogling the WWE guys, Burnout Revenge, fonts, shiny objects, and drinking far too much red wine and coffee (not always at the same time). In her spare time, she likes to sleep.

She lives with her long-suffering partner John, her hyperactive son Jacob, and their cat Leibowski, who is really quite sane except for his Nam flashbacks.
