Dr. Taima is one of only three living masters of the taimashin, needles which can banish the malefic spirits that seem to be popping up all over the place. With possessions on the rise, he has a busy practice. Having settled an outbreak in Massachusetts, Dr. Taima returns to Japan just in time to confront an ancient mystic bent on the elimination of the human race.
