Meet Fenyk Sands. Fennec fox shifter and sugar addict extraordinaire.

After three months as a D.o.S scientist, Fenyk is over her garage lab and hand-me-down equipment with plenty of duct tape holding it all together. A letter from the High Council starts Fenyk on a new journey, complete with a newly renovated lab in Pyreshore, New Hampshire. With so much to research and study, including a certain fellow scientist by the name of Yves Anderton, she’s out to prove herself a true scientist.

Socially awkward as well as being a social butterfly, it comes as no surprise to Fenyk that she embarasses herself in front of the sexy Fae scientist. Yet as she continues her research, desperate to prove she is as good as the rest of the scientists, she can’t push Yves out of her mind, or her heart. When a new discovery, equally intriguing as it is dangerous, urges Fenyk forward, will she go too far to earn her place or will she listen to Yves’s warning that this secret is best left buried in the sands?

After all, sometimes the truth lies in the fringe.
