A collection of writings by Elia Kazan, co-founder of the Actors Studio, producer of plays by Tennessee Williams and Arthur Miller and director of "On the Waterfront", "East of Eden" and "Splendour in the Grass". Here he discusses a range of topics from politics and directing, to the actors he worked with. It also includes many photogaphs from Kazan's private collection. Michel Ciment has already published his conversations with Kazan, "Kazan by Kazan" and is co-author of a film profile "Elia Kazan, Outsider".
