This third edition comprises the whole of the original volume and additions which reply to criticisms of the authors argument about the origins of the Falashas. Drawing on tradition and legend to reinforce his argument, it traces the source of the community to the Jewish settlements which existed in ancient Egypt and what is now present day Sudan.
