![]() | The Rings of Kether (1985) (Book 15 in the Fighting Fantasy series) A Game Book by Steve Jackson |
School Library Journal
Gr 9-12With its complicated combat system based on the roll of dice, this is more a role-playing game than a book to read. You are a galactic narcotics agent sent to destroy a drug ring on the lawless planet Kether. The action is excessively violent, and there is a lot of drinking in spaceport bars. In addition, equipping a narcotics agent character with ''Pep Pills'' to renew stamina lost in combat is both bad logic and a very bad message for young readers.
