Wkipedia said that this was Jaffe's most literature like book. I don't think it reaches the writing standard of what I would consider to be "literature" but it is certainly a cut above "Class Reunion" in terms of writing style and maybe social and psychological insight, although the main theme of both is the changing role of women in U.S. society. The first novellla "Mr Right is Dead" treats a Capote's Holly Golighty character from a woman's point of view and gives it a more sociological context which is kind of interesting.
This book is very dated but the two bookend novellas are interesting from a historical viewpoint as they describe some of the social and psychological dislocation caused to women as gender roles were just beginning to change in the early to mid sixties. One other story has some very interesting things to say about the generational specific nature of celebrity and another story says some interesting things about the thin line between imagination and reality.
