About Marie-Louise Jensen
Marie-Louise Jensen is an English children's author.
Marie-Louise Jensen was born Marie-Louise Chalcraft in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, England. Her mother lived near Skagen, Denmark during her childhood, and Jensen visited the place every year whilst she herself was growing up, later setting part of her debut novel, Between Two Seas, in that area. Jensen did A-Levels in German, French and English and went on to study German and Danish with literature at the University of East Anglia. She moved to Germany where she spent four years teaching English, after this she returned to England to care for her children, both of whom are Home Educated in Bath. She completed an MA in writing for young people at the University of Bath in 2005.
