Kerry Jamieson was born in Durban, South Africa and studied in New York, Miami and Los Angeles before spending four years living and writing in the United Kingdom. She has an Honours Degree in English Literature and Writing from the University of Miami and a postgraduate qualification in screenwriting from UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles).

She writes crime novels and thrillers set against the backdrop of the Jazz Age and the Great Depression.
