In the highest-elevated, most remote mining camp in California's rugged Sierra Mountains, a small group of men, women and children weather a bitter winter prospecting for gold. But after a stranger falls dead at the perimeter of their camp, this sleepy, snowed-in town is thrown into hell. A band of ruthless thieves, searching for a cache of stolen gold the dead man double-crossed out of them, muscles into town. And this trigger-happy, whiskey-slugging posse is willing to kill anyone who stands in their way. But what these ruffians didn't count on is having to reckon with the infamous Underhills.
