Scout and Ace is a new series for beginner readers about Scout, a sensible Scotty dog and Ace, a slightly scatty, crazy cat. They are lost in space after their space ship was sucked into a wormhole, and are now trying to find their way back home to Earth. In each story, as Scout and Ace try to find their way home, they encounter all kinds of strange yet familiar fairytale characters. Each story is limited to only about 250 words and there is a lot of rhyme and repetition. The books are illustrated in full colour throughout by Ant Parker, who brings warmth and humour to the characters.
