When she graduated with her MBA in 1996, Laura discovered that she had extra time on her hands (time she had spent studying or in class). With her family's support, she went back to her dream of being a writer. She discovered there was much she didn't know, but after joining RWA (Romance Writers of America) she began to learn and hone her craft. Seven years later, she's thrilled to be able to combine her favorite careers into one. Writing medical romance for Harlequin Mills & Boon.

Laura has been married to her husband, Scott, for almost 20 years. She has a beautiful daughter, Nicole, and a great son, Jonathan. They are wonderful kids although, she says, having two teenagers in the house is an adventure all its own.
