Kyōka Izumi is the pen name of a Japanese author of novels, short stories, and Kabuki plays who was active from the late Meiji era to the early Shōwa periods. His real name was Kyōtarō Izumi. Like Natsume Sōseki and other Japanese authors with pen names, Kyōka is usually known by that pen name rather than his family name.
