But when he stumbles upon Vanessa rambling through his woods, something about her piques his interest. Maybe it’s the way she treats her rescue dog or the fact that she isn’t afraid of him. Whatever the reason, it doesn’t take long before they begin to share hikes, picnics, and overnight camping trips, their bond growing stronger each day.
They may have feelings for one another, but they both know life isn’t so simple. After all, it’s not as if Owen can truly fit into Vanessa’s life and integrate into human society—especially since she’s only in town temporarily. As for Vanessa, her life is already in shambles.
