Timothy Hallinan is the author of nine widely praised books, seven novels and a nonfiction work on Charles Dickens. His most recent book, A Nail Through the Heart, introduced Bangkok-based rough-travel writer Poke Rafferty, who is also the central character of The Fourth Watcher.
