Shirl Henke, with the aid of her friend and writing partner Carol Reynard, has written twenty-two award-winning romances. Her storytelling skills have been honed by diverse life experiences including being a social worker, a newspaper reporter, a political advocate for the elderly, and a teacher in an urban university. A two year stint teaching remedial composition convinced her to become a full-time novelist.
St. Louis is home for Shirl and her husband Jim, a retired English professor, sailor, cabbie, bartender and judo instructor. Their son Matt, after finishing a tour in the USAF, works in telecommunications.
