Sally Hinchcliffe is in her thirties, and - having originally studied politics, philosophy and economics at Oxford University - has spent the past ten years working at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew. After completing an MA in creative writing at Birkbeck College, University of London, in 2004, she wrote various short stories which have been published across the spectrum.
