This Boston-based mystery stars smart and sassy Ba Stat Banner reporter Liz Higgins, who chafes at being assigned only features and light news. Suddenly she has the chance to prove her journalist creds when an acquaintance of hers disappears, leaving only a few bloody clues behind. The missing mom has ties to the Middle East, and there are disturbing hints that terrorists might be involved. Wrangling herself the assignment to cover story, Liz not only researches and files her newspaper stories, she also courageously pursues a tangle of clues to find the missing woman, alive or not.
