Pete Hamill recommends
Memos from Purgatory (1961) Harlan Ellison "Harlan Ellison is the dark prince of American letters, cutting through our corrupted midnight fog with a switchblade prose. He simply must be read." | Siren of the Waters (2008) (Jana Matinova, book 1) Michael Genelin "A truly fine novel. It's filled with exactitude of place and people, taking us into a world that seethes with dangerous secrets. On that treacherous journey, Michael Genelin makes unfamiliar worlds seem knowable, and does so with great style." |
