Pampered law student Christopher Pyle has a good life, but one evening changes everything. At a fellow student's party, he finds something that indicates that an eminent QC isn't quite as law-abiding as he should be, and he sells his findings to a local paper. The paper offers him more work, and he recruits his own snitch to feed him information. But when a story takes him and new girlfriend Lottie on a 'holiday' to a remote island, their tropical adventure turns into a violent nightmare . . .
