Henry and Thea felt an almost supernatural attachment to the Fens of East Anglia and to the woman who guided them there - Florence, with her stories of Dark-Ages kings, of murder and betrayal. They fall in love, but the forces of the past gather strength and they are thrown back to the Dark Ages.
