Elizabeth Hand recommends
At the City Limits of Fate (1996) Michael Bishop "Michael Bishop is a writer of intense humanity and grace and compassion. One enters these collected stories as into a roomful of friends, and leaves with great reluctance: a lovely book." | The Annunciate (1999) Severna Park "Like Samuel Delany and Ursula Le Guin before her, Severna Park reshapes our notions of love and gender, freedom and bondage." | The Two Sams: Ghost Stories (2003) Glen Hirshberg "A collection of haunting and satisfying stories wrapped in the elegant prose of a master craftsman." |
