(2023)
(The fifth book in the Ozarks Cozy Mystery series)
A novel by

When the local veterinarian calls Della and asks for her help in finding out who’s responsible for dogs becoming sick in the south part of Clover, her home in the Ozarks, she has no choice but to become involved. As a dog lover, the mere thought of someone causing them harm infuriates her.

After asking a lot of questions, she comes up with several people who could be responsible for the dogs ingesting coconut and chocolate, two foods that can be toxic for dogs.

There’s no shortage of people with possible motives. From a radical animal right’s activist to a man who’s upset with the dogs marking the tree in his yard he planted in memory of his father. Then there is a dog trainer who’s having trouble getting clients and also a woman who values her flower beds far more that she does the dogs that are digging in it. But was it one of them? That’s Della’s dilemma!

Plus there’s the FBI agent who has come to Clover to investigate the death of Della’s husband. A death she has been told was a hit and run accident. However, the FBI agent uncovers evidence that it was murder, and her life might be in danger.

Fortunately, she feels safe with her big St. Bernard, Moose. But is she?

This is the 5th book in The Ozarks Cozy Mystery Series by a two-time USA Today Bestselling Author.
