"A new literary star has arrived." - The Sunday Express

Deborah Graham is a young successful stock broker, with a very impressive portfolio and a natural instinct for the right investment. Her lover is Giacomo Valli, a specialist in tropical diseases and viruses, committed to ridding the Third World of treatable illnesses. However, Deb's perfect world is soon turned on its head when she receives an unexpected phone call.

A client is intent on buying shares in a relatively unknown biotech company, Xynex Inc. Concerned about his peculiar request she initiates an internal investigation - the last thing she needs on her career record is an accusation of insider trading. Xynex Inc. has recently engineered a new drug that guarantees a baby will be born male and in a world that's becoming increasingly overpopulated, this drug is worth billions. Is Giacomo involved in the creation of this horrifying new drug? That soon pales into insignificance as shortly after the call, the client is murdered.

Giacomo seems to be involved in this disturbing crime, but whilst on a trip to Brazil he also goes missing. Deb is determined to unearth the truth surrounding the murder, find any links to Xynex Inc. and locate her kidnapped lover. But who can she trust? And is she ready for the truth?

Double Helix is fast paced, full of taboo politics, corrupt corporations and ethical dilemmas. It will grip you from the first page until the shocking conclusion.
