(2024)
A novel by

It is the late 1980s and for teenager Bobby Wilson and his two best friends, the only certainly about life in a small Scottish town is how repetitively predictable each day is. School during the day, followed by interminably long hours in the evening to indulge youthful imaginations within the limitations of the budgets of their working class parents.
Then an exotic new restaurant opens, serving the food of their dreams and providing access to the latest in electronic games - and it's all for free.
There has to be a catch, surely? Who is the mysterious owner and why is his restaurant only frequented by teenagers? Does it have anything to do with the increasing bouts of bad behaviour which are beginning to erupt throughout the sleepy little town?
A middle-aged loner by the name of Kenny McNee believes that he knows the answer, but he's a lone voice whistling into the wind. Will he be able to convince anyone to listen, before it's too late?
