True love will never be understood. It heeds no boundaries, breaks all rules. And even if it comes to making the ultimate sacrifice, it remains the most precious gift of all.

HELEN SILITTO, PRIVATE LOG, 23.9.2075... Something incredible happened last night. Something so mind-blowing, maybe writing it down will help understand it better. Understand me better. I’m using my personal log, so no one can see it. This is not for anyone else’s eyes. It’s hard enough for me to read.
Above my head, a gentle tropical breeze delicately caresses the palm-leaf roof of our island room. A few minutes ago, a warm early morning sun rose above the sea, dispelling the last remnants of the night I shall never forget. The night someone stole my soul.
As I write, I begin to wonder who I am. I thought I knew, until a few hours ago. Now, I am a stranger to myself. I do not know how to feel. What I should feel. Guilt, remorse? Ecstasy, intensity… love? I feel all of those things. But they are so messed up, I cannot separate one from the other.
We are prisoners here, and yet in a strange way, I have never felt so free. One more feeling I cannot comprehend. My angel stole my soul. Last night, in a few moments of total, overwhelming passion, she took it from me. She will own it forever. And I will never be the same woman again.

The story - When an angel comes to call, it changes your life. When love comes knocking, it shakes you to your very core. For Helen Silitto, floating around the Earth in a tin can collecting space debris, both of those epic events are about to happen at the same time. But if that isn’t enough, something far more horrific is waiting in the wings. As Helen finds her world and her emotions ripped apart, she and her tiny crew discover the evil close to home is spreading rapidly to engulf the entire human race. And as the apocalypse draws ever nearer, she comes to realise there is only one heartbreaking way to stop the terror.

*Cry of an Angel contains several scenes of a sexual nature.
