A Running Duck

Made into the Cannon Studios 1986 movie "Cobra," directed by George Pan Cosmatos and Sylvester Stallone as screenwriter. Clare Randell meets a man in a car park by helping him to recover papers that spilled from his brief case. She thought no more about it, but the police did, because the man was a paid assassin and had never been seen. Now Clare knows what he looks like and the killer already knows she must be eliminated. An excellent story that could have been treated better by Hollywood. John Creasey award winner as best first novel.
