Miriam Gershow is a novelist, short story writer and teacher. Her debut novel, The Local News, will be published by Spiegel and Grau in February 2009. She has received a Fiction Fellowship from the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing, as well as an Oregon Literary Fellowship.
