Anne Shirley has agreed to help her friend Gilbert babysit a neighbor's nephew; but when she receives an invitation to the most wonderful party in town, she can't help but wish that she could go to it instead. Mischievous Anne tries to find a way to help Gilbert babysit and go to the party on the same day, but everything does not go according to her plan.
