Lesley Glaister recommends
Little Sister (1998) Carol Birch "Illuminates that fine, sharp line between humour and sadness and brilliantly tackles the love, hate, resentment, pride that is often felt between siblings." | Tommy Glover's Sketch of Heaven (2005) Jane Bailey "Absorbing, compelling and intensely moving." | My Perfect Silence (2006) Penelope Evans "Uneasily funny, sad and terrifying. I read the book very quickly, hardly daring to put it down." | |
Shadowing the Sun (2008) Lily Dunn "A marvellously engrossing, atmospheric and chilling read." | The House at Midnight (2008) Lucie Whitehouse "An exciting, romantic, gripping story of secrets and suspense --- at once modern and classic in its form and content. I predict a big hit!" |
