Ozzie has planned the perfect crime. He and his buddy Dean will kidnap sleazy stock promoter Harold Wismer as he leaves the apartment of his mistress, Melanie Martel, and then demand five-million dollars in ransom horn Harold's loyal wife, Joan. Although Ozzie has tried this scheme before with unsuccessful results, he feels he's worked out the kinks. And, ransom or not, he considers Wismer (and Dean, for that matter) expendable. What Ozzie doesn't know is that he's not the only one with an interest in Wismer: ancient-but-ruthless mobster Jake Cappalletti is keeping an eagle eye on Harold for reasons of his own. In fact, the only person not interested in Harold is his loving wife, Joan.
