Typhoon

In a gripping standalone novel, yet a sequel to 'The Years of the Hungry Tiger', former policeman Jake MacAdam is to be found building concrete junks. Then, an American journalist, Vanessa Storm-Williams appears on the scene. She is determined to investigate the ruthless and sinister Chinese secret society; the Triads. Jake finds himself drawn into helping her and slowly but surely the couple fall in love. It is dangerous work, however, as Triad tentacles spread far and wide and their determination to supply heroin to the West knows no bounds. However, the couple's lives are in the end changed irrevocably by the unexpected appearance of Typhoon Rose, which shatters both the island's infrastructure and all of their perceptions.
