Before writing historical romance, Heather Grothaus was a freelance journalist, with work featured in national and regional publications such as Countryside Magazine, Kentucky Living, and The Recorder Newspaper's Creative Living magazine. She was also the editor-in-chief of a news and literary magazine. Heather lives in Kentucky with her husband of twelve years and two dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys playing piano and guitar, cooking, gardening, all types of music, attending renaissance festivals, and trying to get her dogs to behave.
